CAMP
I know this is coming a little bit late, but I wanted to say a really big THANK YOU to all the students and teachers who made the camp such a fantastic experience. When I told my family and friends that I had been supervising nearly 70 teenagers for a week, they thought it sounded worse than being tied to an ant's nest and smeared with honey!! When I explained that it was one of the best weeks of the school year (although very tiring) and how wonderful you all were, they still didn't quite believe me, but thought it must not have been too bad as I was still smiling and somewhat sane! How could I be anything else with this motley crew below:

However, my body did decide that once camp was over, it could get sick - very sick. Although I did try to answer any messages, I apologise if I missed any or it took me a little while to get back to you.
Thank you to those students who have taken the time to send me a message to let me know how great the camp was for them and how much they loved catching up with everyone again. Knowing that it makes a difference for all of you, makes the preparation beforehand and the lack of sleep during the camp, worth it!!
I hope you also thanked your teachers for preparing and leading activities, and giving up their precious evenings with loved ones, to come and supervise overnight. For some reason the department won't let me look after 70 teenagers on my own!! So a special big THANK YOU to the teachers!!
Although, don't you think it's about time they stopped hanging around and goofing off?? (Sorry Miss Sindel and Miss Sashegyi for the photo attack in the bathroom)

For those of you who were not able to come on this camp, we really missed you and look forward to seeing you at the next one!!
I am currently uploading the photos to the website - very time consuming with the big files and limited Internet speed. I will let you know when you can access them.
MOODLE MESSAGING
You have probably noticed that emails are being sent to the email address in your Moodle profile, whenever you receive a message in Moodle. I have been working with our Moodle providers to fix the ability for teachers to be able to send group messages, but it appears that whilst they have been working on this, they have activated the email prompts in Moodle. This is fine as it can let you know you have a message if you haven't logged into Moodle. However, many of you have your parent's email as your default email address, so they are receiving the prompts which has a copy of the message. This may annoy them, so you can change the default email address to your school email e.g. jane.doe@student.education.wa.edu.au Hopefully you are already using your school email address. This is preferable over a private email, as teachers are only able to send emails to students' school accounts. If you have any problems changing your email address please let me know.
I am still working on fixing the group messaging issue, so you may get some group messages to see if it is working and I will be asking you to reply to let me know who received it.
We only have a few weeks left of this semester so keep working hard. Reports will be sent out to your parents in Week 11.
