We have had another amazing achievement from a student in the GT Online program. For those of you who attended camp at the end of last year, you may remember that Samai King (Year 10 last year), had made it to the final of the Simpson Prize competition. We have just found out that he is the winner from Western Australia and will be travelling to Gallipoli in April to attend the Anzac Day commemorative service.
This is a wonderful achievement and although Samai completed the online program last year and won't be reading this message, I thought it was important to tell all of you that know Samai, and for everyone to see what wonderful opportunities the students in this program have available to them if they want to work for it. A big thank you to Mrs Thomson and the HASS teachers who are instrumental in offering these opportunities and for working tirelessly with students to get them through the process and have them submit such exceptional entries. Well done HASS team!!
