Hi Everyone
Welcome back to school - a new semester awaits!
You should have all received your reports over the holidays. Congratulations on your great achievements and the hard work that you put in over the semester to get you there. I know there are some students who didn't quite reach the level of achievement that they, and we, know they are capable of. Make sure you take on board any feedback from your teachers which will help you perform in the program more effectively and take your achievements to the next level. If you are not sure what you can do to move to that next level, ask your teachers! I'm sure you can get to where you want to be if you take on their advice!
I would like to give a very warm welcome to the new students who are starting in GT Online for Semester Two. In Year 7, we actually welcome Enya Parker back to the program. She came to camp at the end of last year and many of you got to know her, but she wasn't able to participate in the program for Semester One, so it is great to have her back with us. In Year 8, we have 3 new students. Soveryn Dickinson is starting in the English/HASS program and Selena Smith and Liam Tuffin are in the Maths/Science program. Please make sure you welcome these students if they are in your lessons. I hope you all settle into the program well and enjoy your time with us.
I had assumed that all schools had a PD Day yesterday, but it appears that some of you were back at school. I'm sorry if you turned up for classes and wondered where your teachers were. Both Kelmscott and Perth Modern had a PD Day. Today Kelmscott is back up an running with English and HASS classes, but Perth Modern has parent interview day and some teachers are not available to do their lessons. Hopefully they have informed you if lessons are not running. Maths and Science classes will definitely be back to normal tomorrow (Wednesday).
Another announcement is that our next camp will be ...... drumroll ...... on November 21 - 25 back at Swanleigh as it has the space for all of us including the new Year 6 students.
Wishing you all the best for another great semester in GT Online
Ms C
